AMX Mod X 1.76c Released!
 

On behalf of the AMX Mod X Team, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or Whatever Wintery Delicious Special you like!

I am pleased to announce the release of AMX Mod X 1.76c. This release is a small bug-fix release which fixes a few very important issues, including a few long-standing corruption/crash bugs, and an exploit around the Counter-Strike weapon restrictions plugin.

Note that for this release, we are distributing a list of officially modified files so users may build their own upgrade packs. These differences are against 1.76b, and they can be found in the Upgrade link below.

As promised, this release contains no AMD64 builds. This will hopefully mark the end of the 1.76 branch, however, any serious bugs that come up may warrant a 1.76d. Around mid to late January we will begin processing requests for the 1.77 branch.

amx is better, amxx dont work on my server :p

every mapchange crash because amx_i383.so is uloaded everymap change,amx not, works better.

That bug for ever and nobady want repair it.

so why amx working amxmodx not ?

Whst can i do more ? Linux is clean, with newest core.
working on root.

clean server work
with amx work
with metamod + some plugins as steambans work

with amxx get crash

Well submit a bug report.
It works fine on my Linux servers(Fedora,Red Hat).
The Scripter and Server operator vision is "Amxx is better".
But everyone makes their own choice.

Tramp: I will look into your problem, only because it's a Metamod problem and AMX Mod X requires Metamod. It really has nothing to do with AMX Mod X. Also, I really hope you're not running your server as root.

Maybe some of You, guys, can write in that Tramp's topic at Support sub-forum what was the solution to solve the problem he had. Even if it was nothing to do with AMX X, but it was some deal with metamod or whatever settings on his server - it's out of curiosity it was working for him perfectly with AMX 2006 (with the same settings for the server), but it didn't with AMX X.

There was no solution that I could see. His server was updating the timestamp to the amxmodx binary on mapchange, so it was always a newer file and thus causing strange issues.

I gave him a Metamod build with the "reload on newer file" feature removed. Since I've only see this issue come up maybe one or two times, I'd rather not distribute it publically. The issue is definitely on the provider or system setup end, and needs to be resolved there.

Sadly it's not always possible to do that.

Hi BAILOPAN there is little problem that I suspected. So by default the CS addons for amxx will not log bots for top15 and rank but they are still logged. The bots are logged with 0 kills and 0 deads all the time but they still are showed in top15, i.e. they still have rank...

The main goal was to "don't rank bots kills/shots ect and shots / kills on bots (by players)" - I mean the rank shouldn't be affected by any shoot done by bot and on bot. This function is working correctly. That problem with showing bots still in top15 is not a big issue - since if You will play with more than 15 human-players on Your server You will not see any bots there (because they will go at the bottom of the list very fast). :)
If I'll find the time to look how the name of players are included into top15 rank system, I'll try to post a fix for it. Currently I'm busy by podbot mm.

Hi yeah but I export the statistic in mysql db that is not only top15, it is for all the players and the bots still show there with their Rank, zero kills and deads. I will be very happy if someone can fix it. :)

Just remove them when you do the exporting, simple as that.

Once again the installer doesn't detect any games, hooray. Anyone have a solution? Even if I select the directory, it doesn't work. Yes, I've run HL/CS once, but no games are detected. I even tried an old version of AMXX.

Lets not forget all us Users, that makes this thing the most used, and popular thing it is! Merry xmas and Happy New Year to Us. May next year be filled of good and bad plugins/upgrades and thanks to all of Us, for using it another year :)
