Since yall basically said ull only have to copy and paste when the sdk comes out with hl2 how long after hl2 release can we expect source mod? The day of? Less than a week after? More than a week?

I dont think they would know, but the SDK is ment to be out before the game, but that could mean a day or a week. So take that time and add about a month.

Last I heard the release date for hl2 is mid to late next week. That is just rumors from people I know close to valve. For development time Dygear absolutly right you are talking atleast a month before they would even be close to a alpha build of very bare features if they are building from the ground up.

Even then.. it's probably won't be as simple as a copy and paste..

Where is there any mention of this copy and paste crap?

There's a little bit more to this than you think, I'm imagining. Such as Pirate AI for hostages. :gyar: :attack:

i believe it was stated in the amxmodx forums news/New Project - SourceMod thread.

They basically said they could write the majority of the code in 1 program and transfer it to the sdk i believe.

We don't know when we will be able to release a first version of Sourcemod. Currently we are discussing various approaches to various challenges, and keeping a close eye on what is said/discussed here in the forums (hint: the ideas forum:))

Even though we consider questions like these as appreciation for our work, we cannot give you an answer yet, simply because we don't know.

But when we do, the first thing we'll do is put it up the news-section.
