I wrote this plugin after the HL2DM Steampipe update back ~April 2013 broke the ability for players to change their model. Although I haven't noticed it myself lately, the issue is still open and I hear players complaining of it. It's also a nice shortcut.

This plugin is not intended to be a generic model/skin chooser. sm_skinchooser is adept to that.

Installation
  1. Put .smx into plugins
  2. Load it

Usage

In chat players can do one of the following things:
  1. !model - bring up a menu of models to select
  2. !model model_name - specify a model to change to. if an exact match isn't found it'll shortcut to a prefix search of the models list
  3. !model list - list available models

Usage Examples

Code:

!model female
!model male_01
!model combine_soldier_prisonguard

Hope this helps somebody.

Hi KiTTeNChaoSS,

The "Get Plugin" forum compiler doesn't compile .sp's that use sdkhooks or sdktools, which this plugin requires. You can either compile the .sp and install the generated smx yourself, or use the smx I attached to the post.
