could look at the source change the name from sm_quake, to something without the sm in front, then recompile. Think that would stop the chat trigger.

so you're doing "sm_quake" in the game console (not server)
or saying "/quake" in chat?

which version of SM are you running?
Have you made sure you've installed the plugin correctly, and everything is in the correct folder?
Can you do "sm plugins list" from your console and paste...

@generaledead: have you got "sm_quakesounds_enabled 0" in your server.cfg... otherwise once a map changes it to 1, it wont be changed back and every map will have it on from then on.

MaKTaiL, thanks, I've loaded the Naris version,
just wondering why are all the config files not line spaced? it works fine when I go through and reorganise it :)

is there any reason that text editors see the config file without the line breaks? or is it just the eol char is different?
