You've probably tried this, but could it be possible to just block all the spectator information
sent to the client and not try to make it seem as though you're still on a team?

Nice idea!

I'm having a problem with the secret spectate feature as it's not so secret.

Every 5 to 7 seconds while checking the scoreboard, I see myself appear as a spectator,
then I flip...
