Well Psychonic, I dont no what your doing different from what I'm doing but I cant get the server to start with meta. My vdf file looks like this.

"Plugin"
{
"file" "../left4dead/addons/metamod/bin/server"
}

And server version and game binaries are this.

Checking/Installing 'Left 4 Dead binaries' version 44
Checking/Installing 'Left 4 Dead base' version 40
Checking/Installing 'left4dead linux dedicated server' version 30
HLDS installation up to date

It just wont start... Frustrating... argg
