If you want to add a downloaded skin named
crazy_joe_123.mdl,
-> the first thing you need to do is to remove any non alphanumerical characters in the filename
This means that you need to rename "
crazy_joe_123.mdl" to "
crazyjoe123.mdl" in this case
-> You then need to create a directory in the "
cstrike/models/player/" directory named "crazyjoe123" as derived from the model file name.
-> After creating the directory, you need to place
crazyjoe123.mdl under the path "
cstrike/models/player/crazyjoe123/"
Now that you have successfully put
crazyjoe123.mdl in your server directory, you need to modify the plugin.
-> Fire up your Amx Modx Studio and open
Deathrun_Skins.sma
-> You will find the following code at
line 28
PHP Code:
#define NUM_PLAYER_SKINS 4
-> As you will be adding 1 skin, you need to add 1 to the NUM_PLAYER_SKINS define (4+1 = 5) and replace the code as follows:
PHP Code:
#define NUM_PLAYER_SKINS 5
-> Now you need to find the code below at line 35
PHP Code:
new g_playerskins[NUM_PLAYER_SKINS][]=
{
"combatskeleton",
"darthvader2",
"drgaryglover",
"screaml33t2"
}
-> You need to replace the code as follows:
PHP Code:
new g_playerskins[NUM_PLAYER_SKINS][]=
{
"combatskeleton",
"darthvader2",
"drgaryglover",
"screaml33t2",
"crazyjoe123"
}
-> Notice the new comma "
," that was added after "
screaml33t2", it won't compile if you forget that!
-> Now you can save the edited file and compile it.
-> After compiling, locate your .amxx compile file and place it in "
cstrike/addons/amxmodx/plugins/"
-> And you're done! Watch out for errors in your server console at runtime which might occur if you did something wrong
