I'm guessing those people have Linux servers.

The server on Linux works if you roll back to version 2.2.3.7 and roll back the sourcemod versions. Then the server will be in the server lists. And change the server version to 2.2.3.8

I'm pretty sure that would cause everything to mismatch unless the client does the same thing.

Anyways, my Windows server showed up while I was testing.

So I use a nodecraft server for my l4d2 server. It runs on linux, and I've updated SM and MM, but I'm seeing that the next step is to update linux. I can't do this as I don't have any control over that portion. Am I just screwed for now?

Everything works and the server is visible in the search for Steam group servers. The client does not have to do anything about this.

This, of course, is used until Valve fixes the Linux servers.

My advice for people who desperately want to be listing in the steamgroup server list is to back up their server, then switch to a Windows server.

As Left 4 Dead 2 is in maintenance mode, the last time one platform was broken with an update, it took 6+ months for a fix, so there's a very-high chance that this current issue is never resolved.

p.s. no one at Alliedmodders can help with this.
