"There is no automated conversion process for servers. However, the install size is significantly smaller because we’ve removed all the texture and audio data."

Wtf does that mean? Do we need to update our servers again? Is this just an announcement that the client is getting switched? I am getting a little tired of these unclear announcements.

That's not an announcement... he's just clarifying what the SteamPipe conversion means, in reply to the GSP that asked.

i think the server and client files were the same before steampipe came along. now they removed the bloat that the server never uses is what they are saying.

nothing about an update

I didn't think there was an update to do but some of Fletcher's emails are a little confusing. Thanks Lyric

Quick question, does any one know any script that will auto reboot my steamcmd tf2 server?
Like how when you'd do _restart for hlds tf2 servers, the server would close, and reboot.

Maybe .... depends on what you mean by "reboot".
Do you mean just close and restart the game-server?
or do you mean to actually reboot the operating system?
if so, which operating system? - Windows or Linux?

If you're using Linux, there's lots of extra tricks and stuff I can share - PM me for details.
Probably would get a bit (more) off-topic for this thread.

I use linux, centos to be specific,
and what I mean is, I want the game server to shut down and restart after I use the _restart command.

I'm seeing errors for basevotes.smx and basecommands.smx, assuming they are cause of file location changes but I figured this would have been corrected in the new Snapshot...solution?

Code:
