If updating both MM and SM to the latest stable versions did not fix the issue, ensure your game server is shutdown and not busy/stuck in a boot loop when you are trying to update the files.

now dedicated server can't matching, if you enable matching you can't connect to server, have to turn off by cvars such as "sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0"

Why i can't get out of my mind that the devs want to kill this game because they want more people to play at B4B?
It's like they wish people who still have dedicated servers on this game get bored of the constant problems each update and stop their servers.
I must admit i'm not far from it.
What is the point of updating constantly a +10 year old game?

i started to think that linux servers are garbage after this sweet update.

Same here.
Since this update, i have no more access to the steam group server section so i can't access to my servers apart from the "openserverbrowser" which is not useful to play in group.
But i can see on the linux terminal of my servers that players can access them and everything seems to work fine in terms of addon when i checked them.
I checked my router and nothing changed from the last time i checked and everything was working fine.
Did they change something to the game on this side?

Upgrade sourcemode and metamod to latest version solve the problem for me, take me more than 1 hour trying every possible ways until I found someone's comment in this article.
