This is the general SRCDS section (not mms/sm-specific), and this thread about the SteamPipe update (which was last week and didn't break anything).

Spoiler alert: there's no fix yet and further "yeah, it's broken" messages only lead to clutter when that's already known.

I can't get steamcmd to install the server I was running it on a steam client on windows. I added this to my batch file that installs/updates CS:GO.
force_install_dir ./steamapps/L4D2/
app_update 222860 validate
And it tells me that the app id doesn't exist. Any ideas?
EDIT: actually it says no subscription. But I think that is what it means, that the ID can't be found.

Wow... Ok... fixed it. Apparently you can't install it while logged in to steamcmd as an actual steam account, you have to be logged in as the 'anonymous' user. That is a bit broken.
