It's also known as an "ESC Menu" or "Escape Menu". All games sm supports (afaik) support it so it is used on games that don't also support the ShowMenu usermessage that generates the menus most people know and love. HL2DM is probably the most popular game that doesn't have ShowMenu support.

how are u supposed to install this exactly? the same as the first l4d like both go in addons folder cuz i did wen i did for some reason it didnt work... -.- help please n i installed MM 1.8 too put that it...

Failed to load plugin addons/sourcemod/bin/soucemod.mm (Failed to get API)

any ideas?

Well, I got all the files put in the right place but it still doesn't recognize commands like sm_admin or meta list. I used the right install (linux), verified that everything is in the right place, and put myself as an admin. Still won't work.

I'm not having any luck either. My friends and I had a L4D1 server and setting up MetaMod and SourceMod on that was a piece of cake. I followed the same instructions and can't get MetaMod to work on the L4D2 server. I realize this is beta (for both), but it's kind of frustrating. There are those that do have it working however. I wonder what kind of box they're running.
