I've seen that happen if the playersvotes translations file either isn't installed or is really out of date. Double-check to make sure you have the latest version of plugin.playersvotes.txt in the addons/sourcemod/translations directory.

If that checks out, make sure that SM actually loaded the plugin. (via "sm plugins list")

Is there a way to add an option to allow to start a Votemap based on time remaining just like the Map Chooser does? Also it would be nice to add vote output during the votes.

This plugin can get better and better everytime

Votes are basically running all the time, so votes don't exactly "start." However, it wouldn't be too hard to add a simple "reminder" notification that pops up the current map is about to end, or even automatically prompt players with the map menu... I'll look into that.

As someone pointed out, there is actually a stock plugin (mapchooser I think?) that starts an end-of-map voting session. I haven't looked at what would happen if both playersvotes and mapchooser ran at the same time, and although I bet it would work, it might confuse players because there would be two totally separate channels for map voting.

Alrighty, I'm back. After a whole lot of IRL stuff, I'm ready to start maintaining this thing again.. =)

I'll look at the submitted patches.

    Hey The Resident,

any chance you'd be able to add an additional cvar that specifies home many times a player can voteban/votekick/voteman per map/round? Some players seem to exploit the plugin by votebanning everyone on the server or votebanning the same person numerous times per round, generating a significant amount spam on the server.

    cheers,

Oo interesting. I will look into adding spam suppression and helpful vote limits.
