I'm looking to expand my server / Steam Group Community and i got the idea from when i connected to a server, during my download i got a invite to thier steam group. The invite was automatic from a player ingame the player was afk but he was ingame to invite? Is there a plugin or script for this? I would like to invite players to my group when they are ingame or connecting. The player inviting was in the server.

i think steam bans accounts that run auto inviters and also

remove the steam group

its against their ToS

It wasn't really an auto inviter the person inviting was ingame playing but invited as people joined the server

Then hire someone to sit in your server all day and invite people. Valve have punished groups who automated the invite system.

To make a long story short, this is not allowed and is frowned upon. I would like to make my group bigger too. But looks like I will have to by advertising my group page in chat, or inviting my friends.

just name ONE group that has been punished for it... when I asked the support team about kifferstuebchen (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/KiFFERSTUEBCHEN) they told me they cant prove they used an inviter. FFS they have more than a million members and they say its not obvious enough?

I'd like to see a plugin that invites people when they type a specific trigger. That's not technically automatic, right?

By the way, it's not actually against the ToS. They just don't like it.

Not technically automatic but makes it trivial to change it into an autoinviter.
