yup, something is very wrong with leveling system. i did a fresh install of rpg and credits are selling by themselves and people are gaining weird levels


I also found some more bugs, its seems the rpgtop10 is no longer working.
the advert for the amount of XP you gained doesnt display the proper amount. It will either display 1 or 26 but you are infact getting alot more then that.

stats are not being saved, when you rejoin it erases you.

REGENERATION upgrades are not working, they actually deduct health, ammo, armor instead of giving it to you. Im not sure what causes this but it only happens to some people. i dont think players are getting written to the database correctly.

i did twice in fact, the second time was to confirm that i had deleted it. It did the same thing shortly after the server restarted.

started displaying values as -1 and then the regen health and armor -1 every tick. was very strange.

most of your problems are fixed in alpha8 ... please try to figure it out ;)

ok, I've found the reason why the leveling has been acting funny.
when you gain experience it doesn't reset the total amount of experience you have.

so if i have 0/250 experience and i gain 250xp then my experience increment adds onto that to make my total experience 250/500, however the game doesn't reset your experience back to 0 each time you level. It will just add the exp_increment and continue leveling.

that is why you can level so fast no matter what level you are, your experience isn't reset after every level you gain.
so maybe your core.cfg was set right back in alpha 5, but the experience bug is why we leveled so fast.

rpgrank no longer seems to be working.

yeah you are right, but do you really think that this is the wrong way?
EDIT: after a while i thought about it i came to the answer: YES THIS IS THE WRONG WAY ;)

i cannot retrieve my log entries at this time, thanks for the quick response.

but yes, rpgrank was working perfect in alpha 7 but not in 8
