I think i remeber there being something you type into the target of the cs shortcut so it would go to a certain server? is this righT? and if so how do i do it?

On the shorcut of hlds.exe u make u gointo properties
Target: C:\HLServer\hlds.exe -console -game cstrike +port 27016 +hostname "clan aF PUB Secondary" +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 12 -autoupdate +exec autoexec.cfg

and you edit those ou whatever you like

Try adding -connect <ip|domain name> to the end of the shortcut.
