Does anyone who has set up a Dedicated Alien Swarm server through srcds been able to get their server.cfg to work? I have placed in the right place but it does not want to read it. I even looked in the wiki http://developer.valvesoftware.com/w...dicated_Server but still nothing. I have my server.cfg in C:\srcds\swarm\cfg and I have even tried C:\srcds\swarm_base\cfg

server.cfg doesn't get executed. I believe autoexec.cfg does, however. What I personally just did was added "+exec server.cfg" to the launch parameters for the server.

same here, also after start my master servers list is empty.

In most Source Engine Games server.cfg is executed every map change, in Alien Swarm not.

EDIT: every map start (and server start) server execute file "newmapsettings.cfg" i think this is replacement for server.cfg
Adding masterservers to this file store them on list.

Just to confirm for those that can't set startup parameters, autoexec.cfg loads just fine at server startup, Im using it.

Did a search for autoexec.cfg using smartftp doesnt find it does find server.cfg, gameservers.com doesnt show server.cfg in the control panel section so i cant confirm the changes ive made to the server.cfg file, its location is very odd indeed usually under the server ip then game folder then server ip, not under the cfg folder were plugin alterations are normally made?

How Do I access the launch Parameters from the ftp?

You can't with GSPs, unfortunately. Also, if the autoexec.cfg file isn't there, just create it.
