The effects do not show in your view, they are showing, you just can't see them without going into third person. sv_cheats 1 then thirdperson in console.

There's also plugins to allow for thirdperson, since setting sv_cheats requires you set it on the server. And once it's set on the server, all sessions connected at the point of sv_cheats being set to 1 are marked as "dirty" and cannot do things such as earn achievements.

There's ways of faking sv_cheats for the client from the server side so that the client simply THINKS it's on and only that client thinks its on, thus allowing CLIENT side cheats like thirdperson

jouva: however, that also allows the client to manually use mat_wireframe and other stuff, though as soon as they receive the "news" that sv_cheats is turned off (e.g. after they die and the thirdperson "deactivates"), wireframe turns off.

I tested the new gamedata attached below. But the autoupdater still has the wrong values. So you have to disable it through configs/core.cfg if you don't want it replacing the gamedata with the incorrect values. Asherskin, let us know when you update it please. It through me for a loop.

TF2Items is most definitely broken after the winter update today. However, there are no error logs.
