Thanks visual for trying, but I decided to trash this version and use someone else. The version I am using now works fine. After all he did say I should give up, and I did, and decided to use something else.

Well, you were using the wrong l4dtoolz version to start with even though Ivaliosp linked you to the right one multiple times. And only that has caused pages of misunderstandings.

The one Ivailosp linked you to all this time, asking you to test, was 1.0.0.9f (compiled on jan 16th, 2013), he was never linking to the old 1.0.0.9f.01
so it's not his fault that you diden't take it in.

Cause as far as searching goes, this is the ONLY upload I see in this entire topic. Which is 1.0.0.9f and not 1.0.0.9f01, as far as I know the version I have was never downloaded here simply because it never was placed on the site in the first place. So my statement remains true to its nature, 1.0.0.9f, STILL doesn't work while the current version I am using "1.0.0.9f.01" is working. Care to explain?

Did you try reading your own posts? You were using "1.0.0.9f.01", now you're using "1.0.0.9f".

Yes, that is the windows, we are still talking about linux though. Regardless, the version im using is stated above, is under linux and it works. Point is, the one I downloaded from the link above does not work. I tried it just now again, just to be sure i am not an idiot here and going around in circles.

You were using 1.0.0.9f.01 on your linux server which was not the version ivaliosp told you to try, then you switched to 1.0.0.9f linux version which was the very one he told you to try, compiled on jan 16th, and you got it solved.

You were using an incorrect version all along, hence all the confusions on the last 2 pages or so.
Just give it a rest now.

You even admitted that the version which you were meant to try in the first place now works.
I'm gonna quote so you can't say anything else. This is your own qoute, you tried it on your l4d1 linux server and it worked.

It's just as simple as that, no need for all this drama. There's now been 2 confirmations about
the january 16th binary working for l4d1 linux. This thread needs to get cleaned up.
