EDIT: Managed to test it, no it doesn't parallelize. The ability to parallelize the operation so that you have multiple threads compressing multiple files at once would be delightful (hell even python allows this to happen).
Otherwise it's a pretty useful tool and the GUI interface is great.

If you're using straight up bzip2, then parallelizing might work. However, if you try this with the Parallel BZip2 (aka pbzip2) algorithm, it will already be using all available cores and you'll actually slow things down.
