i'm trying to install the mysql like for managing admins

when I try to install this, i get error that:

'[SM] Unable to load extension "dbi.mysql.ext.so": libz.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory'

i did a ldd on

$ ldd -d -r dbi.mysql.ext.so
linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000)
libz.so.1 => not found
libpthread.so.0 => /lib32/libpthread.so.0 (0xf7dd2000)
libc.so.6 => /lib32/libc.so.6 (0xf7c80000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xf7fc9000)

but the shared object is in: /usr/lib/libz.so.1

any help would be greatly appreciated. i'm running debian lenny on 2.6.18-128.2.1.el5

this works also if something broken in system:

apt-get install lib32z1 --reinstall
