I tried to set FL_MONSTER flag, but no luck.

Interestingly, it is based on movetype. So, if your entity is not made SOLID_BSP solid and it does not have MOVETYPE_PUSHTEP movetype set, it should get ignored.
Also it looks like you can't bitwise OR IGNORE_MONSTERS and IGNORE_MISSILE.
