@wickedd

That's great ! What I changed was adding +ip 0.0.0.0

In most software it just listens on every interface I believe. I will have to restart my remote Windows machine see if I can see it as well!

No need to restart.

I was not aware that the master servers did not show every server, maybe that could explain it then..!

(Of course by restart I meant that the VPS was shut down, I am paying hourly for it there is no need to have it up all the time )

Okay I see it now, so either I was VERY unlucky since yesterday, or 0.0.0.0 actually fixed everything

Thanks!

Hourly? That sucks....it's hard to get players that way.
Check out this link for future reference.

You don't need to put the +ip in the command line, you can just put the +port

I think you completely me, I used this Windows VPS ONLY to check if I could see my server in the Internet server list.

I host the actual game server on a spare computer I have here, on my 1000/1000 internet line

Thanks for the link too, didn't know there was an API for that, quite handy

0.0.0.0:
In the context of servers, 0.0.0.0 means all IPv4 addresses on the local machine. If a host has two IP addresses, 192.168.1.1 and 10.1.2.1, and a server running on the host listens on 0.0.0.0, it will be reachable at both of those IPs.
What is the Difference Between 127.0.0.1 and 0.0.0.0? Aug 11, 2015

So, it does work because it bound your server as all the ip's your machine has.
