server not showing up

alright well i got my server up and running and everything is going fine. the problem is the only way someone can join is if they know the ip address, meaning its not showing up on the server list, but it will show up on favorites. is there a reason why it will not show up and yet ppl are still able to join, only if they know the server ip or join the server their friends are playing on.

plz help i would like to get more then 15 people to know about my server and be able 2 see it

well do you have a router or firewall ? and is it a listen server , dedicated , or standalone server ?

if you are using a router go here http://www.portforward.com/ and forward the ports they give you!

If you have trouble there forward ports : 1200,27000-27015,27020-27039
(all udp and tcp if listed )

and after you port froward start ur server and then put in console sv_lan 0 .

no thats not the problem i have already done that with my router, the problem is it wont show up on the server lists, i already have it up and ppl have been on, but only if they know the server ip

well the server ip is 24.1.30.81:27015 its a counterstrike server dedicated

ya ive gone there, their new search doesnt work and ive searched on the forums and cant fiind anything on dedicated servers
but ty for your help ill try agian to search the forums it just doesnt like me using search alright ty for your help i found what i was looking for

make sure your giving them the right ip adress.

it should be - your IP here:27015
find your IP here - http://www.whatsmyip.org/

its like your server ip then after that put :27015 or other port

ex.: 71.115.224.192:27015

im sry but did u not read my post? i said ppl can join my server but my server doesnt show up on the server lists, but u can add it and it will show up on your friends list only in friends list

also my server still doesnt show up im thinking its because of my firewall but not really sure, since have turned it off and still doesnt work even after doing every thingthe steam forums said
