Hello guys,

I'm looking for a plugin that can do a predefined set of tasks for me.
This all, to create a new "Game mode" inside CS, loosely based upon the allmost forgotten EScape gameplay modus in CS.
This plugin would, as a base, be ran only on an ES_map.

Please have me explain myself.

Long long time ago, ES "escape" maps where played alot amongst the better know, CS "hostage, DE "defusal" and VIP maps.
The principal of it is the following :

Terrors spawn (mostly unarmed, some weapons could be found along in the map),
and have the purpose to escape from the CT's,
wich on thier turn, need to stop and eliminate as much Terrors as they can.
If at least half the Terror team manages to escape (escape-zone much like Hostage-rescue-zone, set by the mapper),
then the Terrors win. Else, CT's win. Every 3 rounds, the teams get swapped. Ct's get to be Terrors and visa versa.

This said, i'd like to have a plugin that does the following, whilst running an ES map.

CT team:
  • all players get a model change to a predefined model
    (optional) player visibility set to 50% whilst standing still
    (optional) player visibility set to 75% whilst walking
T team:
  • all players get a model change to a predefined model
    player running speed set to 150%
Weapons:
  • Shotgun model+ sounds need to be replaced by other mdl&wavs
Why you ask ?
Well i'm making this lovely es_map, situated in a meadow, near a farm.
I'd like to have hunting season for rabbits open, and have all Terrors be rabbits (increased speed whilst sprinting).
I'd like to have all Ct's to be the hunters (custom model-cartoonish maybe)
and have them shooting shotguns.
The rabbits want to outwit the hunters, and when at least have the rabbit-pack manages to reach the carrot-patch, the rabbit team wins. Every 3 rounds, the teams get switched by the ES-gameplay. Rack up the best score on the server by killing as much rabbits you can, or buy escaping the most.


If ya just carefully read this, and have questions, ask me. if you can honestly tell yerself you couldn't pull this off, leave it at that.

If however, you spontaniously said :" Hey, i can do that, no sweat ! "
then please leave a note.

exactly, 1 tight, neat, snip of code, that handles just that.

Models , sounds, mapping is all taken care of.

well its not really that important atm, i just would like the playtest the barebone. And it shouldn't refer much to the ES-maps, as it just uses the "ES-engine", aiming at a stand along game mode really Like SoccerJam, but this more in the hunting section

Ok, ive made the base.

Im not 1337 enough to make this:

Invisibility
Weapon model + Sounds


The plugin checks if the map es_rabbithunt is running before doing anything.
The CT's model should be placed in models/player/hunter/hunter.mdl and the T's model should be placed in models/player/rabbit/rabbit.mdl

All else that is needed, is to set Terror(rabbit) running speed, and an alt-model for the shotgun.

*The "ES-engine" takes care of the team switching and the escaping rabbits.
*Myself, i make sure -via the map- that the hunters only get a shotgun, and rabbits don't have any weapons at all.
*Models and sounds are dealt with.
(This is clean code isn't it? its not overchecking stuff, doing redundant things, or gonna make the server crash within 10 mins ?)

++*Optional* Visibility for Hunters who stalk, or are trying to ambush rabbits.
