Does not work for me with amx bans.

I added:

hitler "racism" 2 0

I entered the server with the name hitler. I got a message that I will be banned, but nothing happens. He wont ban me. I looked into my amx bans database, but nothing happened.

I'm running amx bans 5.0.

@bartezas16:

I'll consider adding the ability to ban by IP instead of Steam ID in the next version.

@Psyfire:

If you have access to your game server's console, type the following in the server console:
  • amxx cvars
If you don't have access the your game server's console, join your server and type the following in your game console:
  • rcon_password your_rcon_password
  • rcon amxx cvars
Copy *only* the CVARs that are prefaced with "restnames_" from the amxx cvars command. They will be grouped together. Paste them here.

I know now what does not work.

I got admin immunity flag "a". But i added the cvar to check everyone. I removed my immunity flag and it worked. But when I look into my amx bans database, there is the following information.

Banned by Admin: my servername ()

Can you add that the user that will be banned, is banned by the admin "Bad nickname" or something? Or define a cvar for adding an admin that will ban all with a bad nick. That would be very good :-)

I'll consider adding the option to specify a specific admin name, for AMX Bans, when banning people.

Hello,

I think I can help a lot with this reg ex now. Especially for people who dont understand it and want to create a simple and very powerful restrictnames.ini

Here we go with our self programmed reg ex converter.

1. Unzip the file.

2. You got 3 files, leet.cfg - RegExpGen.exe - restrictnames.ini
2.1 In leet.cfg you can simple add some letter for leet language.

Example: You want to replace e with 3. Open leet.cfg and add a new line with
e=3

Look into the standard leet.cfg, to understand this simple system.

2.2 In your restrictnames.ini you define all like the known standard restrictnames.ini from this plugin.

Example: "hitler" "Racism" 2 0

"badword" "banreason" punishmenttype punishmentoption

After you completet your restrictnames.ini, start the programm and choose your favourite option to convert it. Please test this, I think we can improve it to make it more powerful.

@ Brad,

If it is okay and you like it btw, you think it could help a lot, you can add it to your first post in this thread, to help everyone to convert and understand reg ex as simple as it works with this script.

I hope I could help you out.
