first of all im trying to make a plugin that can check a players steamid with a ban list on a sql server.

The way i wanna do this trough a .php site, where the connection to the sql is. On that way i can give out the plugins to other server owners, without givingout my password to the sql.

i really need the coding for contacting to the .php site and i think it has to use sockets

Isn't it easier to create a user for your sql database with read only rights?
