hi u all say that this plugin works for you but it doesnt for me ... i am from lithuania so i wrote sv_country_name "LTU" and also "sv_country 1" in my server.cfg but when i connect i get a message "only ppl from NOR,DEN are allowed"...from where the hell did NOR,DEN came in the message i have no idea
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH IT!?... pls can anyone help me...

Ehem, did you execute the server.cfg file, or restart the server.
If not the change wont even take effect if the following cvar wouldnt be set,
and you only changed the map not restart the server.
CVAR: mapchangecfgfile "server.cfg"

Hello, I have the same problem as Omen_, I'm from Chile (CHL). I have set at server.cfg:
sv_country 1
sv_country_name CHL

and restarted the server.

If I ask thru rcon (HLSW) for sv_country I get
"sv_country" is "1"
and for sv_country_name:
"sv_country_name" is "CHL"

but when I connect it kick me with "only ppl from NOR,DEN are allowed" ... I have enabled the module geoip also.

Anyway some people from Chile (CHL) and Venezuela (VEN) have logged in.

Any idea? thanks

I edit the code and change the sv_country_name "PAN" and sv_country 1, Why? allowed people from venezuela connect to my server

the puglin work 90%, players from venezuela and others country not kick :S

I think need update the code

The original reason I posted though is because I'm seeing quite a few lines like this in my logs:

[country_kicker.amxx] xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx made a error when passed though geoip

However when I take the IP's and run them through the online demo at MaxMind they are identified just fine.

Are these IP's part of the 3% that the free GeoIP can't identify or does this indicate that GeoIP.dat needs to be updated?

Very good plugin, i currently use it but i would like 2 features, if it's possible:
-a list of ip's that are allways allowed that supports single ip's and range, for example configs/goodips.ini
-a list of ip's that are allways blocked that supports single ip's and range, for example configs/badips.ini

yea, you need to manually update geoip.dat from http://www.maxmind.com/download/geoi...e/GeoIP.dat.gz
they update the database on the 1st day of each month
