No socket version first, please. Sockets are the devil, crash servers and give server operators nightmares. I had actually given up on kigen's when I was only able to use with sockets and was happy to see the no socket version when it appeared. Please don't make me sad again cause I love this plugin and am looking forward to the newest

Sockets 3.0.0 Alpha does not crash servers from what I've seen.

I had issues with the old sockets required for previous versions of KAC. I have been running KAC beta for a week now with the newer version of sockets and have not had any issues.

A lot of people want non-sockets because BEFORE v3 sockets was unstable and likely to cause crashs

A lot of people have been using v3 and it's proven to be stable, Kigan mentions in a previous post that he wants 1 version of KAC to prevent managing multiple copies of the same plugin

I've just looked over the source for the KAC beta and unlike the current release it isn't as simple as commenting out 1 line to disable sockets dependency

Personally I think people should stop bitching and either
1) Install sockets until they find a fatal problem (server crasher) that can't be bug-fixed out to justify non-sockets instead of personal preference
2) Go through the KAC plugin and locate every part that is sockets dependant and remove them

Right now I am still running the non-beta release of KAC (1.1.9) no sockets version, I installed sockets v3 about 2 months ago so when KAC leaves beta I'm ready to update without having to dig up sockets as well

I don't like dependencies as that leads to chain reaction crash's but Sockets v3 is stable and KAC is a dam effective AC plugin
