I know I have created a topic like this before, but this is slightly different.

I banned a dude called smell me, when I ban using the menu, he kept coming back. I also banned him using amx_ban command, and then he still came back. How can this be?

I have tried the advanced ban, but well, that does exactly the same.

How do I get it to really ban a person?

Do you have banned.cfg in your game folder?
If not, create a empty one in there and if you still have his steam id, put in:
Code:
banid 0.0 STEAM_0:X:XXXXXX

Yeah I know that. I do have the banned.cfg and there is a couple of steamids.
This happend after installing advanced bans and then uninstall it again.
I made a backup of originally files before installing advaced bans. I copied the originally files back, and commented out the advanced_bans,amxx in plugins.ini.
Then it should work just like before.

But I saw another command amx_addban. I have not tried that yet. I try that when I have someone to ban.

That does not help me banning him. That just executes the banned.cfg file on the server. If it does not write his steamid to the banned.cfg file it doesn't really matter.

What the above have suggested should work, unless you have a non steam server. Or, you could have your ban set to ban ip, in which case, it is easy to change ip's.

It does not work. However, in some strange way it works now. amx_addban does not work, but banning via the amxmodmenu works fine.. Strange...

But I do not use non-steam. The server in my signature is my own.
