It's probably because of the write permissions, check if the server can actually write into this directory.

Hi,
i made a vtf/vmt and it works fine. I can spray them, but if i try to save them the server replies:


[SM] Saving Decals to File  not found:
[SM] Saved 1 Decal Position.

after changelevel the decal is gone.

cstrike/addons/sourcemod/configs/map-decals
has the rights 777 (subfolders and files too)

do you know whats the problem?

Hi.

md_decal_printpos goes in the server.CFG ?

I've added the CVAR like so :
md_decal_printpos 0
and the plugin still run
any clues ?

Decals download, but when i paint the decal nothing is visible.

My decal is a multiple of 2 (256x128) and its animated (2 frames).

Any idea why it isint displaying?

P.S. The server is TF2

check the path of your spray in /addons/sourcemod/configs/map-decals/decals.cfg

The path is fine. If it wasnt, sprays wouldn't be downloaded.

I know the spray works because it was originally made as a client-side spray and that displays fine.

I also noticed that map configs aren't saving. I know its not a permissions issue since other configs are created fine.

Can you create command such as
sm_paintdecal <decalname | decal_id> <position x y z>
sm_removedecal <aim | all | id | name | last> <position x y z>

I want to create animated decal using eventscripts:

es sm_paintdecal decal0 10 10 10
es_delayed 1.0 es sm_removedecal decal0 10 10 10
es_delayed 1.0 es sm_paintdecal decal1 10 10 10
es_delayed 2.0 es sm_removedecal decal1 10 10 10

nope, decals can't be removed during the map.

I'm having the "[SM] Saving Decals to File  not found: " problem as well. Can anyone verify this plugin is still working with the latest snapshot and Counter-Strike: Source?
