Is there a way, other than using timers, which sounds to me like a shitty way of doing it, to gradually heal an entity at a set rate?

If so, how would I do it?

Unfortunately, no. You could use OnGameFrame but that's probably not what you're looking for (or useful for that matter).

I've seen GetEngineTime() used before. I think its in l4d_laser_sights theres a (def) 10 second interval between uses.
