Why would someone want to block/modify status?

YamiKaitou, cause they have non-steam server. "Hackers" trying steal steamid players to "substitute" it: steal admin's privileges and other.

I'll mention a few:
- to hide BOTs (if they'r using something like Bot Played Time Faker)
- to hide some players (admins that don't want to be seen with Invisible Spectator)
- to change ping (fake ping?)
- hide steamids as PRoSToTeM@ said (but it's not really that helpful because there are other ways to get it just as easy)
- hide hltv
- translation
- etc.

Ok, we "believe" you, non-steamer.

You can with Rage, Okapi, a module and possibility only with base amxx (+fakemeta), but the point of this topic was to show a way to manipulate functions that use the host_client global variable instead of passing a pointer to a client_t structure or player id and I used the "status" command as an example because it was requested many times. (+ I was interested in it to hide bots and admins)

"Thank" you, KORD_12.7.
(let's not turn this into a "steam" vs "non-steam" discussion, there are enough of them on this forum, and let the mods decide if this is worthy of being posted here or not)
