well considering there isn't enough drivers out for it yet, but do you think you will make amxx compatible to the windows version of 64 bit?

i will have all my machines running 64 bit windows when all the drivers i need come out..

PS: windows x64 does support 32 bit programs so amxx will still work for the os but the thing is we could see a nice performance jump if it was modified for the 64 bit version (wouldn't expect you to start thinking bout this till early next year, was just wondering if you would decide that you would do this in the future )

64-bit Windows is free for everyone to try, it's basically 64-bit version of Windows XP, there's also Windows Server 2003 versions ported to 64-bit already available.

The problem is this: HLDS needs to be ported and Metamod needs to be ported to 64-bit Windows which hasn't happened yet, until then AMXX can't be ported either.

And you think I didn't know this already, I'm running 64-bit version of Windows myself.

I was one the first ones to get a 64-bit processor from AMD, I know everything about them.

Anyways, Metamod isn't made for 64-bit on Windows yet, either is HLDS.

Valve has to make the first move for anything to go 64-bits, of course 64-bit AMD CPUS run all 32 bit apps, it's not the piece of crap Itanium CPU Intel makes (only 64-bits).

Valve has made a 64-bit version for Linux but not Windows yet, they won't for HL1, you might see it when Windows XP 64-bit edition comes out in Winter 2005 for HL Source Engine.
